PhonePe, one of India’s leading digital payments and fintech platforms, operates a high-capacity technology and engineering environment in Pune that supports mission-critical workflows such as real-time payment processing, merchant integrations, user support systems, data engineering pipelines, and cloud-native product development. To strengthen its infrastructure and prepare for long-term scalability, PhonePe required a world-class IT passive cabling system engineered for performance, security, and enterprise-grade reliability.
Orchids Network & Systems (I) Pvt. Ltd. was selected to design and deploy this next-generation structured cabling framework at PhonePe’s Pune campus.
Project Objective
The objective was to create a robust, interference-resistant and high-bandwidth passive cabling environment capable of supporting PhonePe’s internal engineering systems, cloud workflows, DevOps pipelines, transaction monitoring tools, data analytics platforms, and corporate operations.
The network infrastructure needed to ensure predictable throughput, minimal latency, and high availability to support a fintech environment where operational continuity is non-negotiable.

High-Availability Structured Cabling Architecture
Orchids deployed a CAT6A shielded structured cabling system across PhonePe’s Pune office, engineered to handle dense device environments, continuous data movement, and performance-sensitive digital workloads. Shielded cabling ensured protection from EMI and electronic noise generated by high-density compute zones and equipment clusters.
A fiber backbone interconnected communication rooms, development floors, network distribution points, and server interface zones. The backbone supported high-speed data transfer essential for internal services that power PhonePe’s ecosystem.
Routing pathways were designed with optimized containment, bend-radius compliance, thermal-aware rack layouts, and structured patching methodologies aligned with global standards.
